When reporting an issue, please include:
- Your device model (e.g. iPhone 15, Pixel 8) and OS version.
- App version (Settings → About).
- A short description of what you were doing and what went wrong.
- Steps to reproduce, if you know them.
We aim to respond within a few working days. The app is account-free and stores your data on-device, so we generally cannot recover lost data remotely — see the FAQ below.
Frequently asked questions
How do I restore my upgrade on a new device?
Open Settings → Upgrade → Restore purchases. The store (Apple App Store or Google Play) re-issues your entitlement using the same store account that purchased it. You will not be charged again.
Why am I seeing “Already purchased” but ads are still showing?
The most common cause is being signed in to a different store account than the one that bought the upgrade. Check that the App Store / Google Play account on the device matches the original purchase, then tap Restore purchases.
I lost my dice collections / roll history. Can you recover them?
We cannot. Dice! is account-free and does not run a server — collections, custom dice, history, and settings are stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app, switching phone, or using “Reset all data” wipes that data permanently.
If you would like to keep a backup, use Settings → Export data before changing devices, then import it on the new device.
How do I delete my data?
- In the app: Settings → Reset all data. This wipes everything stored locally.
- Third-party data (analytics, crash logs, ads): see the Data Deletion page for instructions on how to request deletion from Google and AdMob.
How do I change the app’s language?
Settings → Language. The picker overrides your device language; choose “System default” to follow the OS again.
Reduced motion / accessibility
The app respects your OS-level “Reduce Motion” setting (iOS: Settings → Accessibility → Motion → Reduce Motion; Android: Settings → Accessibility → Remove animations). When that is on, dice land with minimal movement and roll results are announced to screen readers.
Why does the app ask permission to track me?
On iOS, the system shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt because the app uses Google AdMob to serve ads in the free tier. Choosing “Ask App Not to Track” still shows ads — they will be non-personalized. Choosing “Allow” lets AdMob serve personalized ads. Either choice is honoured; you can change it later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
How is my data handled?
See the Privacy Policy for full details, including which third-party SDKs (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, AdMob) collect what data and how to opt out.
